GW gets asked that question... a lot! As we begin a new year together there are two dynamic ways to answer that question: pray and give! GW friend, Robin Sells found a creative way to share the GW story and raise money at the same time!
Robin Sells of Weatherly Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama, planned a painting party as a fun fundraiser for GW. Sponsored by their Women on Mission group, 26 people attended the event Monday night including a lone man who painted his picture to give to his mother. The Huntsville My Spirited Arts business allows party goers to choose a picture to paint together. The business offers fundraisers for mission projects and GW is delighted our Huntsville friends choose us! Twenty percent of the proceeds from the painting party will be come to GW! In addition to the donation from the business, the Women on Mission group is sending a donation from their funds to support Global Women. Misty Granade, GW board of director's treasurer, stopped by the party to bring greetings and tell about the work of Global Women, including her GW trip to Haiti next week.
Thank you Robin (left)! GW Summit go-ers may recognize Robin from her years of participating in the Global Marketplace with Trade Fair Marketplace in Huntsville.
