December 16, 2014  | Global Partner, Education

During the months of November and December we want to celebrate all that God has done through our global partners by sharing a story with you each Tuesday. Our global partners are making a huge impact in lives of vulnerable women. Read along each week to learn more, and please share these stories with your friends. We hope that as you read these stories you are reminded of how God is at work in the world and the impact you can have by supporting Global Women.

Thanks for standing up for vulnerable women around the world! Jennifer is one of the students in the Isubilo Children and Youth Care Program in Zambia. She is 11 years old and started attending the program this past March. After Jennifer lost both of her parents, she started living with her aunt. Her aunt has five children of her own and no real source of income. It was a real blessing for Jennifer to join this program ran by our global partner Isubilo. In Zambia, each student must pay a school fee to attend public school. Through this program Jennifer is able to receive school fees, extra lessons, and Saturday programing. Education copy Jennifer was very quiet when she first started this program, however she has really come out of her shell in the last couple of months. She comes to Isubilo every day after school to attend the extra lessons program. Her reading has improved tremendously and this has impacted her success at school significantly! She has made some very good friends at Isubilo. She loves to color, draw and read stories in the Isubilo library. Jennifer said that when she grows up, she wants to become someone important so that she can feed her family. We are so thankful for how God is working through our global partner Isubilo in Zambia.
